Shaogang Yanshan Intelligent Substation

Project Background

The existing Yanshan Station (hereinafter referred to as old Yanshan station) of Shaogang is located in the west of the east market and Gate 6 of Shaogang Avenue, covering an area of 4420m2. It is responsible for supplying power to Jiaohua, Bang 1 (2) line, 1# (2#) CDQ, Ludong stockyard and other production units. It was put into operation in 1991 and has been in operation for 27 years.


Yanshan Station is dispatched by the energy control center and intelligent centralized control center of Shaoguan Iron and Steel Co., Ltd. In addition, there are two 220kV substations, five 110kV substations and 2 other power stations, for a total of nine stations connected to the control center.


Project Challenges

In the process of power consumption by Shaoguan Iron and Steel Co., Ltd., there are overstaffing and management difficulties caused by the dispersion of multiple substation control rooms. Our customer hope to realize centralized monitoring, unattended and intelligent operation and maintenance, so as to reduce labor costs and improve substation operation safety.


Therefore, intelligence, fewer people and security have become the core evaluation indicators. The strategic goal is to establish a set of intelligent power transformation and distribution centralized control system that can be perceived with early warning and excellent performance during the dispatching and control.


Our Solution

Baiyun Power Group plans to connect with ring optical cables between 9 sub-stations and establish three optical fiber ring networks A, B and C to the intelligent centralized control center. Network A and network B are responsible for the transmission and interconnection of protection monitoring information, and network C is responsible for the transmission and interconnection of intelligent auxiliary information. Through the centralized control phase I project, three ring network grids are basically built, and the five remote signals in 2 Nos. of 220kV substations, 5 Nos. of 110kV substations, 6 Nos. of power stations, 5 Nos. of 35kV switchyards, 15 Nos. of 10kV main power receiving high voltage rooms and 8 Nos. of 6kV main power receiving high voltage rooms are connected to the intelligent centralized control center.

The integrated information platform is adopted in Yanshan Station to apply intelligent alarm, fault diagnosis, intelligent invoicing, programmed operation and other technologies to the daily operation and maintenance of the substation. It is designed as an unattended and intelligent substation, and adopted advanced, reliable, integrated and environment-friendly intelligent equipment to automatically complete information collection, measurement, control, protection, measurement and monitoring. The whole station is equipped with a set of intelligent auxiliary control system to realize the functions of telemetry, remote signaling, remote control, remote adjustment, remote vision and so on. At the same time, the on-line monitoring, condition evaluation and fault diagnosis of the equipment are realized.


In Yanshan Station, real-time equipment health assessment and expert analysis are carried out by collecting data through video camera, temperature and humidity sensor, air conditioning, lighting and access control, combined with equipment health assessment model. With the patrol inspection robot and intelligent image analysis technology, it can realize the unmanned duty of substation, intelligent equipment operation and maintenance, intelligent and automatic patrol inspection of main equipment, safe operation, etc.
