It is a scientific research practice platform, innovation demonstration platform, and forward-looking technology application platform built upon BPG’s headquarters building infrastructure, leveraging its operational power supply/distribution equipment systems. The center integrated facility encompasses a green micro-grid system, smart power distribution room, power equipment health assessment system, building transparent power supply system, and zero-carbon digital intelligence building integrated management system, complemented by the core equipment product exhibition area and large system display screens for conducting long-term operational testing of relay protection and monitoring systems.

The Laboratory is a device testing lab integrated with software development and simulation testing. Based on the automatic control technology capabilities, it has established comprehensive electrical system automated testing functions, enabling hardware-software co-debugging, development environment deployment, communication testing, and embedded hardware performance validation. Over the past three years, the laboratory has cumulatively provided testing verification and hardware/software testing services for 124 engineering projects.

The Lab provides comprehensive hardware and software testing environments for various R&D activities. It is capable of conducting R&D testing, exploratory testing, transparent power supply, smart substation R&D testing, system testing, and extended burn-in testing for AC relay protection devices, various smart terminals, and sensors. In recent years, the laboratory has developed multiple advanced technologies.

The lab centers on big data analysis technology and comprises three major components: data acquisition, real-time database, and data application. Leveraging the data accumulated through BPG's years of development in the power industry, it establishes multi-scenario analytical models and builds a big data analysis platform. By collecting equipment-related basic parameters, operational parameters, and electrical parameters, inputting them into the big data platform for modeling and analytical processing, and ultimately outputting status results, the laboratory enables equipment energy consumption prediction and real-time early warning.
