From June 9 to 11, 2026, The Battery Show Europe 2026, one of the world's premier events for the battery and new energy industry, was successfully held at Messe Stuttgart in Germany. Covering more than 72,000 square meters, the exhibition attracted over 25,000 professional visitors and brought together more than 1,100 leading companies worldwide, including industry giants such as CATL and BYD.

As a dedicated innovator in advanced aerogel materials, BPG JYAM unveiled the world's first second-generation high-compression, high-resilience aerogel insulation solution, Thermaflex™. Marking the global debut of the TF Series, this groundbreaking product represents a new generation of aerogel thermal insulation technology and demonstrates the strength of China's advanced materials innovation in enhancing safety for the new energy industry.

Technology Breakthrough: Overcoming the Dual Challenges of Brittleness and Heat Resistance

Aerogels are widely recognized as "miracle materials that change the worldand are currently the solid materials with the lowest known thermal conductivity. However, conventional silica aerogels have long been constrained by inherent challenges, including brittleness, fragility, and limited temperature resistance.

Building on its first-generation AJ1025S ceramic-fiber aerogel insulation blanket, the team led by Professor Shen Xiaodong, Chairman of JYAM, has successfully developed the world's first high-compression, high-resilience aerogel insulation sheet—the TF Series.

Purpose-built for the growing demands of high-energy-density power batteries and the trend toward large-format, high-capacity energy storage cells, the TF Series represents a breakthrough in aerogel-based thermal insulation technology.

  • Ultra-High Resilience & Fatigue Resistance

The TF Series endows aerogel materials with outstanding compression rebound performance, fundamentally overcoming the traditional drawback of aerogels being "fragile and easily crumbled upon contact." It is capable of withstanding the frequent vibrations and mechanical compression generated by the "breathing effect" of high-energy-density batteries and large-format energy storage cells during charge and discharge cycles.

  • Extreme Temperature Resistance for Enhanced Safety

Through the regulation of a nanoscale porous network structure, the TF Series spans multiple temperature grades, including TF600, TF1000, and TF1300, with the maximum temperature resistance reaching up to 1300°C. It effectively withstands extreme thermal shock and high heat flux conditions, acting as a "super fire barrier" between cells and modules.

  • Next-Generation TF Series Advantages

The newly launched second-generation TF Series delivers comprehensive performance improvements over its predecessor. With its three core advantages—high compressibility, high resilience, and extreme temperature resistance—it is precisely engineered to meet the stringent requirements of next-generation large-format battery cells, where insulation materials must be both highly compressible and capable of maintaining structural integrity without collapse after repeated compression cycles.

Global Momentum: New Product Makes a Grand Debut, Drawing Strong On-Site Attention

At the exhibition site, JYAM' TF Series attracted strong interest from European battery manufacturers, energy storage system integrators, and automotive OEMs. The team engaged in in-depth technical exchanges and business discussions with leading companies from multiple countries.

During the event, the company reached a procurement intention with a German power battery manufacturer and initiated joint sample testing. The TF1000 product is planned for application in next-generation high-nickel ternary battery thermal protection systems. In addition, preliminary cooperation intentions were established with a Dutch client for the application of aerogel materials in the building sector. A framework cooperation memorandum was also signed with a French energy storage system integrator, aiming at the large-scale deployment of the TF600 Series in utility-scale energy storage power stations.

During the exhibition, JYAM also held in-depth discussions with its global strategic partner, Saint-Gobain, on joint R&D in aerogel-based thermal protection for new energy batteries and coordinated expansion in the European market. As long-term strategic partners, both parties will continue leveraging their respective technological strengths and market resources to promote the large-scale global adoption of high-performance aerogel materials in the field of new energy safety.

With the advancement of the EU’s carbon neutrality targets and the implementation of the New Battery Regulation, the European market is placing increasingly stringent requirements on battery safety and performance, particularly in terms of energy density and range.

Leveraging its fully integrated capabilities across the entire value chain—from aerogel raw material synthesis to final composite encapsulation—JYAM is able to provide European customers with a comprehensive, multi-layered safety solution covering both cell-level thermal insulation and module-level fire protection systems. This end-to-end capability has earned strong recognition from customers across the industry.

In response to the growing demand in the European market, JYAM has also established its European office during the exhibition, further enhancing its responsiveness and deepening its local service capabilities for European customers.

Looking Ahead: Safeguarding Global New Energy Safety

At The Battery Show Europe 2026 in Stuttgart, JYAM not only showcased the technological strength of China’s aerogel industry to the global market, but also achieved the European debut of its second-generation, world-first high-compression, high-resilience aerogel TF Series, further enhancing the company’s international brand influence and injecting new momentum into its global expansion strategy.

Looking ahead, JYAM will continue to deepen its commitment to R&D innovation, delivering higher-quality and safer aerogel solutions to support the safe development of the global new energy industry.
