BPG WG Energy and Infineon Forge a Deep Partnership to Build a New Future of High-Reliability SST

Recently, Xi’an WG Energy Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "WG Energy") and Infineon Technology (hereinafter referred to as "Infineon") have officially reached an in-depth cooperation, joining hands to open a new chapter in energy technology innovation. Both parties will leverage Infineon's leading 1200 V TRENCHSTOP™ IGBT7 and CoolSiC™ MOSFET G2 SiC discrete device technologies to empower WG Energy to develop more compact and efficient universal SST, significantly improving their application performance in energy storage systems and charging piles. The two parties also plan to jointly introduce Infineon's new SiC modules into data center SST applications, strategically positioning themselves for the opportunities ahead of the explosive growth of SSTs in data centers, and working together to promote the continuous advancement and widespread adoption of energy technology.


In power systems, reliability serves as the cornerstone for the stable operation of SSTs and the assurance of power supply continuity, and it directly impacts operation and maintenance costs as well as overall economic benefits. Infineon's new-generation 1200 V CoolSiC™ MOSFET G2, with its innovative design, becomes an ideal choice for high-reliability SST applications: The enhanced .XT diffusion soldering technology significantly improves heat dissipation efficiency, enabling SSTs to operate stably under high-temperature conditions, markedly extending system lifetime and enhancing reliability; meanwhile, the trench gate design combined with stringent production control ensures a tighter distribution of gate threshold voltage parameters, guaranteeing high reliability when multiple devices are connected in parallel, while also simplifying system design and control. This provides the SST market with a high-reliability, easy-to-maintain premium solution.

CoolSiC™ MOSFET 1200V G2


WG Energy adopts 1200 V TRENCHSTOP™ IGBT7 and CoolSiC™ MOSFET G2 silicon carbide discrete devices in its SST system, and innovatively applies hybrid three-level topology technology, achieving a peak efficiency exceeding 98.5%, significantly reducing energy losses and improving energy utilization efficiency. At the same time, the system size is substantially reduced, the link structure is simplified, and system reliability is significantly enhanced at the overall link level, setting a dual benchmark for industry efficiency and reliability.
