BPG's WG Energy Unveils Helios SST Series in Munich, Redefining Next-Generation Power Electronics

From June 23 to 25, Intersolar Europe 2026, part of The smarter E Europe, one of the world's most influential exhibitions for the renewable energy industry, was grandly held at Messe München in Germany. This year's exhibition brought together more than 3,000 exhibitors and over 110,000 professional visitors from around the world, serving as a major benchmark for the global renewable energy sector.

At Booth C1.170, BPG's WG Energy presented its full-scenario solution portfolio centered on solid-state transformer technology. During the exhibition, WG Energy officially launched the Helios Series SST brand for the global market, fully demonstrating its technological strength and industrialization achievements in next-generation power electronics equipment. This milestone marks WG Energy's comprehensive entry into the European photovoltaic, energy storage, charging, and data center markets with its core SST technology.

Global Launch of the Helios Series SST Brand

Covering the World's Major Voltage Classes

 

Helios, derived from Greek mythology, refers to the Sun God. At this exhibition, WG Energy officially launched the Helios Series SST brand for global customers, introducing a full-scenario solid-state transformer product matrix covering three major voltage classes: 10kV / 13.8kV, 24kV / 22kV, and 35kV / 34.5kV. The series is designed to precisely match grid connection standards across Europe, North America, and other global markets.

Designed for electric vehicle ultra-fast charging, heavy-duty trucks, electric vessels, and other high-power charging scenarios, this product line enables direct conversion from medium voltage to 750V / 800V DC, eliminating the need for additional transformation equipment. It significantly simplifies charging infrastructure architecture and supports Europe's transition toward electrification.

 

All Helios SST products are built on WG Energy's third-generation SST technology platform, achieving system efficiency of over 98.5%. They support flexible AC/DC multi-port conversion and millisecond-level intelligent dispatch. The launch of the Helios Series SST marks WG Energy's capability to provide full-scenario SST solutions for global customers, covering AI data centers, photovoltaic power plants, commercial and industrial energy storage, standalone energy storage, and MCS megawatt charging.

Covering Full-Scenario Energy Needs

 

At the Munich exhibition, WG Energy presented system-level solutions centered on the Helios Series SST, covering five major scenarios: AI data centers, photovoltaics, commercial and industrial energy storage, standalone energy storage, and MCS megawatt charging.

 

AI Data Center Solution

Designed for AI computing centers and high-density data centers, the SST enables direct conversion from 10 / 13.8kV, 24 / 22kV, or 35 / 34.5kV medium voltage to 800V DC. With full-chain efficiency above 98.5%, the solution reduces footprint by more than 65% compared with traditional UPS solutions. It is highly compatible with NVIDIA’s 800V DC architecture and the power supply requirements of megawatt-level racks.

 

Photovoltaic Grid-Connection Solution

For photovoltaic power plants and distributed PV scenarios, the Helios Renewable Energy Grid-Connected SST enables PV DC power to be directly boosted and connected to the medium-voltage grid. By eliminating the traditional two-stage architecture of inverter plus transformer, the solution improves system efficiency by 1 to 2 percentage points and supports high-proportion renewable energy integration.

 

C&I Energy Storage Solution

For industrial parks, commercial complexes, and similar scenarios, the Helios Series SST enables energy storage systems to be directly connected to the medium-voltage grid. It improves system round-trip efficiency by more than 3%, supports peak-valley arbitrage, demand management, and demand response, and significantly reduces electricity costs for enterprises.

 

Standalone Energy Storage Solution

For grid-side applications and large-scale renewable energy bases, the Helios Series SST supports direct connection to the medium-voltage grid, eliminating the traditional two-stage architecture of power-frequency transformer plus PCS. With millisecond-level response speed, it is suitable for frequency regulation, black start, backup power supply, and other application scenarios.

 

MCS Megawatt Charging Solution

For high-power charging scenarios such as electric heavy-duty trucks, electric vessels, and mining trucks, the Helios Charging SST enables direct conversion from medium voltage to 750V DC. With charging efficiency above 95%, the solution reduces footprint by 40% compared with traditional solutions. From equipment delivery to commissioning, the system can be put into operation in as fast as two days.

DC Microgrid Solution

For industrial parks, zero-carbon communities, commercial complexes, islands, and remote areas, the Helios Series SST serves as the core of an all-DC microgrid system. Acting as an “energy router” for DC microgrids, the SST integrates photovoltaic power generation, energy storage systems, DC loads, and electric vehicle charging on the same DC bus, enabling efficient coordination of source, grid, load, and storage.

During the exhibition, WG Energy held several strategic signing ceremonies at Booth C1.170, establishing in-depth partnerships with local European energy investors, system integrators, and channel partners. The cooperation covers commercial and industrial energy storage projects, European market promotion of MCS megawatt charging, localized adaptation of Helios SST direct-connected energy storage solutions, and data center power supply projects in Europe. These agreements mark the official launch of WG Energy's first batch of cooperation projects in Germany, the Netherlands, Italy, and other European countries.

This round of strategic cooperation demonstrates strong recognition of the Helios Series SST brand in the European market. It also represents WG Energy's upgrade from “technology going global” to a comprehensive global expansion model driven by brand, solutions, and ecosystem partnerships.

WG Energy expects to complete IEC certification for the Helios Series SST products in Q4 2026, covering all voltage classes. The company also plans to complete full delivery for multiple overseas projects during the same period. The Munich exhibition marked the first systematic launch of the Helios Series SST brand for Europe and the global market. WG Energy not only unveiled a full product matrix covering the world's major voltage classes, but also demonstrated its delivery capability for 100MW-level projects, its capacity assurance supported by dual production bases in Kunshan and Changzhou with over 40GW capacity, and a clear roadmap to complete IEC certification in Q4 2026.

From AI data centers to photovoltaic power plants, from commercial and industrial energy storage to standalone energy storage, and from MCS megawatt charging to DC microgrids, WG Energy's Helios Series SST is entering European and overseas markets with comprehensive full-scenario coverage.
