Hollow Composite Insulator

HOLLOW COMPOSITE INSULATORS

Overview

Hollow composite insulators are primarily composed of three main components: fiberglass-reinforced epoxy resin winding tubes, silicone rubber sheds with creepage extension design, and connecting flanges.

The epoxy fiberglass reinforced winding tube serves as the insulating inner component of the hollow composite insulator. It is manufactured by specialized winding machines through continuous filament winding of resin-preimpregnated non-alkali glass fiber, following a mechanical layering design to deliver strong mechanical strength and dielectric properties.

The silicone rubber weather sheds function as the external insulation of the hollow composite insulator, providing protection and designated creepage distance. The connecting flanges are produced through aluminum die-casting and deployed with proprietary bonding technology to transmit mechanical loads while ensuring structural sealing for support and connection.

Hollow composite insulators are suitable for use in 40.5kV to 550kV power systems and high-voltage electrical products requiring reliable insulation, mechanical support, sealing, and connection performance.
