INSTRUMENT TRANSFORMER

Overview

Current transformers feature a single-phase, oil-immersed, fully-sealed outdoor design. Widely deployed in 50Hz transmission lines with rated voltages of 110kV to 220kV, they operate based on the principle of electromagnetic induction to convert primary high currents into measurable secondary low currents. Connected in series within monitored circuits, these transformers supply current signals to electrical measuring instruments, meters, and protection/control equipment.
