STATCOM

STATCOM is mainly used to provide dynamic reactive power and voltage support to the power grid. The device connects a voltage-source converter to the power grid in parallel through a reactor or transformer, automatically adjusting the amplitude of the AC side output voltage of the converter, to rapidly absorb or generate the required reactive power, and achieves the purpose of rapid dynamic voltage regulation and enhances the stability of system operation. The STATCOM products are mainly targeted at overseas markets and international customers seeking renewable energy AC grid integration solutions. They have been exported to regions including Europe, America, Oceania, and Africa. The large-capacity HV active power filter (HAPF) developed by the company will be first applied in the Fujian-Guangdong interconnection DC project jointly carried out by State Grid and Southern Power Grid, to solve the harmonic amplification issues in conventional DC converter stations and ensure stable operation of the DC system. The sub-synchronous resonance dynamic stabilizer (SSR-DS) launched by the company primarily serves power plant customers. It uses dynamic reactive power technology to effectively suppress sub-synchronous resonance caused by renewable energy grid integration and other reasons, preventing damage to the turbine shaft system, extending the service life of the unit, and ensuring the safety of power generation. The company is one of the first domestic manufacturers to apply this technology.
